Cinema Akil x House of Arts

As part of the inaugural “Interwoven Exhibition” at House of Arts in Expo City Dubai,
Cinema Akil presents a unique outdoor cinema series that celebrates stories of
creatives and artists from the Gulf region. Presenting films that capture the essence of
our culture and exploring the art of directing and storytelling, Cinema Akil and House of
Arts at Expo City Dubai provide a platform for directors, screenwriters and industry
experts to share their sories.
From January – March 2026, Cinema Akil lends its spirit to an intimate outdoor setting
where cinema becomes a contemporary space for the art community. This curate
programming brings together a spectrum of Khaleeji voices, capturing the souls of the
region through experimental shorts and longer films.
We welcome a new home for Cinema Akil dedicated to the regional moving image.
