The 6th Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation

Cinema Akil and the Asian Film Awards Academy come together for the sixth consecutive year to present the Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation in Dubai, bringing six films that celebrate the creativity, diversity and spirit of Hong Kong cinema.

Running from 6–8 November, this year's edition spans action, animation, romance, dark comedy and psychological thrillers, offering audiences a glimpse into both contemporary and classic Hong Kong filmmaking.

The festival opens at Cinema Akil in 25hours Hotel with Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In, followed by an in-person Q&A with actors Kenny Wong and German Cheung. The programme continues at Cinema Akil in Alserkal Avenue with Another World, Dog Day Evening, Dead End and The Dating Menu, including a special Q&A with actor Yukki Tai.

For the first time, the festival also heads outdoors with a special screening of Jackie Chan's iconic Police Story (1985) at The Yard, Alserkal Avenue, on 7 November.

The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation is presented by the Asian Film Awards Academy in collaboration with Cinema Akil, with financial support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), the Film Development Fund (FDF) and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Dubai (HKETO).
