ABOUT THE
FESTIVAL
Fujifilm Short Film Festival is a regional short film competition based in Dubai, UAE, dedicated to championing independent cinema from the Middle East, Africa (excluding Southern Africa) and Central Asia. Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, the festival returns for its second edition, taking place from 12 to 13 December 2026.
Hosted in partnership with Fujifilm, Cinema Akil and Gulf Photo Plus, the festival provides a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their work, gain industry exposure and compete across four award categories. Through professional-grade awards and networking opportunities, the festival seeks to discover and celebrate the next generation of filmmakers from across the region.
